TRACE is a blockchain-based protocol that transforms any digital content — documents, media, or data — into a tamper-proof and verifiable record. It ensures ownership, authenticity, and transparency without reliance on third parties.
To address these limitations, the proposed solution leverages blockchain technology to establish an immutable and verifiable record of content authenticity. Detailed insights into the TRACE solution will be provided in the following sections.
In the TRACE Protocol, each content asset (e.g., document, media, or text) is securely converted into a blockchain-registered digital record by generating a unique transaction hash (TxHash) derived from the asset’s data.
This TxHash functions as a digital fingerprint, enabling the document to be independently verified and permanently retrievable. The process involves hashing the document’s metadata and content to produce a cryptographic signature, which is then permanently recorded on the blockchain during the Immutable Blockchain Entry (IBE) event. This ensures the document is both tamper-proof and fully traceable.
Stakeholders can use the TxHash to verify the document’s authenticity and integrity and retrieve the immutable blockchain record for audits, compliance, or reference purposes.
Since the document’s data forms the basis of the hash, no additional information or centralized storage is required. The record remains verifiable indefinitely, anchored by the decentralized and secure nature of blockchain technology. This makes TRACE a robust protocol for managing digital trust at scale, ensuring adaptability and long-term reliability.
